Jim Dean Smith serves as President and Co Owner of Contract Floor Coverings, bringing decades of experience in construction, remodeling, and project management to the company. Before joining CFC, Jim built a strong foundation in the industry through his work with ChoiSmith Associates Inc. and Jim Dean Smith Builder, where he developed a reputation for quality craftsmanship and thoughtful project execution.

Throughout his career, Jim has built custom homes, managed full home remodels, and overseen more than 100 kitchen and bath renovations. His broad experience across multiple trades gives him a deep understanding of construction processes, materials, and coordination, which continues to influence CFC’s commitment to efficiency and high standards.

Jim’s professional journey began after serving in the United States Navy. Following his military service, he attended San Jose State University, earning a degree in Social Science and Economics. His education, combined with hands on industry experience, has shaped a leadership style grounded in discipline, organization, and long term relationship building. Today, he remains actively involved in guiding operations and supporting the continued growth of Contract Floor Coverings throughout Northern California.
